We are getting closer to Valentine’s Day, which makes me think about romance.  But sometimes when you think about romantic in decorating – you think of too much fluff, too many ruffles, and too much lace.  But I think you can have romance in decorating without it looking too overdone.  My ideas on what is romantic in decorating?  Well here we go …

Romantic is all white and flowing sheers …

master bedroom mediterranean bedroom

Romantic is leaded glass and warm neutrals …

Broadway Street traditional bedroom

Romantic is suds and a warm glow at the same time …

XStyles Bath Design Studio contemporary bathroom

Romantic is linen drapes and early spring blooms …

traditional living room by Lola B

Romantic is a classic tub with a beautiful view …

Carson Poetzl, Inc. eclectic bathroom

Romantic is the promise of tomorrow with the treasures of today …

French Larkspur eclectic kids

Romantic is tufted furniture and fresh cut flowers …

Beauty Within traditional bedroom

Romantic is whimsical and playful …

Under the Apple Tree Canopy Bed - modern romantic Scandinavian design eclectic bedroom

Romantic is light touches of pink and crystal …

Dreamy Whites eclectic dining room

So what about you - what is romantic to you?  Are you loving any of the pictures above?  Have any touches of romance at your home?  I wanna know!

Oh my goodness! Love these images. I think the nursery might have to be my favorite. My sister is already talking about having another baby and she's thinking Shabby Chic for a girl. Keeping my fingers crossed because I'm so in love with that style right now!

For me, romantic is lots of candles, soft music and a roaring fire.
