So I have been seeing a lot of blue and white stuff lately.  Maybe it is because it is spring or maybe it is because that is what Target decided to promote this year!  Either way – I starting thinking about the combo and how there are a couple ways to interpret it in your space.  Blue and white rooms start from light blue and dip all the way into navy.  I pulled a bunch together for us to admire from lightest to darkest – and I am curious where you guys fall in the spectrum.

Starting off here with very light almost gray blue and LOTS of white accents. That fixture is amazing.

My holiday dining area contemporary dining room

Moving into an ice blue with more neutral accents – love the coordinating colors they chose.

This room is slightly darker – and a perfect place to relax! And wouldn't you kill for that view!

Intrinsic Designs Portfolio contemporary bedroom

Headed just a shade darker here. Don't you just love all the trim work around this mantel! Gorgeous!

Whimages traditional family room

Starting to get a little darker here but isn't this a great shade of blue! Love it with all the shabby chic accents!

Lola Bs traditional dining room

Bordering on periwinkle here but I love the ring of blue around the top of the room! Perfect with all that creamy white tile!

Sudbury House traditional bathroom

Now we move into a deeper shade of blue - love the coordinating fabrics and colors through this space. It feels very cohesive!

Burlingame Residence Two traditional kitchen

Dipping all the way down into navy now. I think this is one way to do navy - as kind of the accent on top of the white.

Beachy eclectic family room

You can get a little bolder and do a great accent wall like this one here. Anyone else loving that desk? And the little porthole window? Great space!

West Coast Hampton traditional living room

Or you can just go ALL out deep blue. I think a lot of people would find that conceptually overwhelming - but this picture proves it can be done and done beautifully!

So there you go - now where do you land in the blue scale?  Are you a light blue lover or do you like the depth of where a deep navy can take you?  I wanna know!  Me personally – I like the navy!!

Hey Jess,
Love the blue - though except for a blue denim slipcover on the couch, we don't have any.

That pic with the look over the ocean? I could spend hours with my sweety relaxing in that room.

And, the one with the woodwork over that mantle? Doesn't it look like you could make that using a curvy-window mirror (think "Homegoods") and then from it out with some scrap lumber?!

Lastly, the one with the focus wall and the totally cool desk! Are you a fan of Donna at Funky Junk? She made a WONDERFUL desk that I think you would love - she's at http://funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com/

Thanks for sharing wonderful blues!!!

I just painted one of the kitchen walls at Casa Ugly a very light blue-gray shade of blue yesterday. It took me 11 color samples until I found the right shade of blue - sometimes they are too turquoise, other times to baby blue. However, I think I found the perfect shade that is right for us - light and airy.

I personally like the lighter blues, but the navy as accents, is nice, too. I couldn't take the all-out navy. Just too dark for me.

Okay I am convinced I am now painting our bedroom a shade of blue. You have inspired me. I am thinking a shade darker than the ice blue!

Loving blue and white! I just changed out throw pillows on my sofa to differet combos of blue and white -- so refreshing!

The cute dining room with shabby chic look is supposedly done in Ralph Lauren shale blue. I got a sample yesterday. Not even close to the pic. Almost dark gray
