I know I talked with you guys about gallery walls last week and we debated symmetrical vs. asymmetrical arrangements. And I left you guys hanging about where I was going to hang things for the gallery wall that I was working on.
So if you were dying to know how it came out, here is my gallery wall! Asymmetrical of course! Sorry for the craptastic pictures …. it is a little difficult to take pictures of a hallway!
I have all silver frames – which not only gives it a cohesive look but also brightens up the hallway considerably.
I did a grouping of family pictures – which is really important to me. Our family all is at least 5 hours away and I really wanted to have everyone where I could see them every day. While we can’t have our family together – I can have them up on the wall together. All in one place. And that makes me happy on a level that is somewhat hard to understand.
I also wanted to show you some of my favorites! I love this one of my hubby when he was three! Isn’t he adorable!
My college roommate drew this picture of my oldest cat. I love it!
And this one is my favorite! I found this behind another picture in an album my mom brought up a couple weeks ago. It is a picture of me and her – and I just love it!
I am really loving the whole thing. Just walking by the smiles and memories warms my heart. And it is right outside the baby’s room – so I am excited for him to get to see and love all the memories too!
And that is as mushy as I think I should get with you guys on a Tuesday night! So what about you? Do you have a wall of family photos in your house? Does it make you grin every time you walk by too? I wanna know! Oh and if you want to see even more Gallery Wall inspiration – hop over to the Inspired Room and join in on Melissa’s Gallery Wall party!

We have a small hallway of pics. We have them all in matching walnut colored frames (bought a set of 10 of them at Kohls, gotta love Kohls cash!). And I have a few other things up there, like a wood sign and a giant metal "3" that I scored at Goodwill (stand for my 3 kids). I like your grouping of pics, and that pic of you and your mom is so sweet!
Love the silver frames! Your gallery wall looks fab! And, yes, I do have a gallery wall of family photos that I love to stop and see when my babies were babies!
This looks terrific Jess and that is a great drawing of your cat!
Very nice, Jess! Gallery walls are hard!
I think this looks wonderful and I have a long hallway that I could do this on. My husband loves pictures hung on the wall but I am not a big fan of it - don't know why ;) I do like how you have arranged them though and am going to book mark this.
DH has perfected his pencil drawing technique and I have hung a bunch of his beautiful portraits on the wall by the stairs in our dining room. I plan to paint the wall a bright brick red, which will make those black, gray, and white pictures pop! I love to see his work and he is pleased to see them on the wall. We both win, as do our guests!
It looks great, Jess. I have three picture rails in the living room that I use for family photos. I use them sort of like a mantel, since I don't have one. I love having old family photos around.
Enjoy yours!
Your wall looks so good!
The older I get, the more I realize how important my family is to me. I love that you made your family the star of your hallway. I have a feeling about a year from now we're going to see a whole lot of new pictures hanging in that hallway.
Bravo on the gallery hallway with silver frames. I have black frames and have also used the hallway for this purpose. I'm enjoying your blog!
I could so see some of my prints on that wall, what do you think?

Looks great! I like that it's asymmetrical.
Hi Jess,
I'm planning our gallery wall, but haven't started it. (I think it's b/c I want to be sure I get enough up in a day to make it feel cohesive enough - even if I leave room for growth.) I think I'm afraid I'll only get a few up and it will just look disjointed.
i think I'd better finish the kitchen I've been working on for 6 months - lol.
Thanks for sharing your wall! I love the photos of you and your sweety when you were kids. Reminds me I have a darling pic of me as a 3 yp or so with my aunt's cat. I don't thin I've ever seen that on a wall. Perhaps now's the time!
Love your gallery wall...having your family around you is so important!!! My favorite decorating ever has always been my family photo walls!!!
