We went out of town this weekend to Denver to visit some good friends. Denver is one of those cities that you always hear good things about. And I am here to tell you that it was all true! We picked a gorgeous weekend to go, the sky was clear as a bell and the weather was in the mid 70’s. We spent some time running around and looking at the more natural side of Denver, because what the hubby and I really wanted to see was Mountains. One of our stops was at Red Rocks. It truly is one of the most amazing places in the world.

Red Rocks is a natural amphitheater that Mother Nature created out of two gigantic rocks. All of the best names in music have played there and done albums featuring the fantastic acoustics.

Given the great weather, I got some wonderful shots. I wanted to share the pics and the color inspirations. I have paired them with some great pics from another great site for inspiration Houzz.  Enjoy!

Never underestimate the power of a bright splash of blue against a natural background.

Making a statement with a tall stone structure is always a great way to get that WOW factor

The juxtaposition of a warm neutral with a light blue.  In this bathroom it is so calming.

I love the warmth and light this room exudes.

I don’t know how many of you have found the wonderfulness of Bing. I know, I know – I am featuring this love fest on a Google based application, but what can I say, Bing is great!

For starters, it features an awesome pic everyday on the home page that you can mouse over and learn random facts about. It is a great source of daily inspirations for colors, themes, books to read, or ideas to research.

The next best thing about Bing – is the Bing Cashback! All you need is a Microsoft live ID (aka a hotmail account) and you too can have Bing Cashback! It is a simple as this. Select the Shopping Search and type in the thing you are looking for – Bing will search the internet and return for you the same results (if not slightly better) than Google.

The plus side is that under certain vendors you will see a lovely icon that looks a little like this.

This icon means great things for you!  This icon means that if you link to that vendor through Bing and purchase that item, Bing will deposit the Cashback amount into your account after 60 days. You can start making withdrawals once you get $5 in your account. You can deposit into a bank account or Paypal account. Either way, you can find the best deal and get a little back!

There are other great things about Bing, but the the best is the opening pic and the Cashback!  Although I have to say - the travel site is pretty cool ... but more on that in another post!

I am still trying to figure out the whole layout of what I want to accomplish but in the spirit of that goal of organization, I thought I would share a great organizational deal I found while digging around out there. Happy Hunting!

Mini Oval Jars Set from Crate & Barrel - $15.95 for a set of 12

The worst offenders in your home are all the little things that end up all over junk drawers, countertops, and dressers. What better way to create organization than to classify all these little things in to definable groups. This mini jar set lets you do just that. Another great idea would be to fill these with homemade spice rubs and give out at Christmas for an easy and inexpensive gift!
