Ok - I don't care if it is 90 degrees outside - I am in a fall kinda mood! I figure we are well within our rights to talk fall. I mean - Starbucks has the Pumpkin Spice Latte out which in my mind is the heralding of the fall season.

And when I think fall the one thing that comes to mind is cozy. This is the time of year when we pull out the blankets and sweaters. When you need to take a jacket if you are going to be out at night. I love the return to cool from the sticky humidity of summer. Ah... to be cozy.

So I wanted to do a post on what is cozy to me in decorating ... and thus very very fall. Enjoy!

Cozy is ... a firepit on a cool fall evening.

We've just moved into a new house this summer so we're still trying to make our mark. This has given me some inspiration for some Auutumn nesting though.

Have a lovely cozy day!

Jess, where did you find that one with the red doors in the entry on Houzz? I would like to see if they have more pics of the same house. Houzz is a great site, but there's a lot of sifting to go through to find the pic you want.

Cozy is that reading nook! oh how I could day-dream there all day. Looks like the fall-bug has hit you too. I'm craving a hot cup-a-joe, a warm blanket and a warm fire...

Kind of hard to pick the picture that is most cozy, I like several of them :) Cozy at my house is fluffy blankets and vanilla smells. That coffee sounds good :p

Your post did the trick for me -- I am now ready for the cooler weather -- ready to do some cozying up in a warm, soft afghan. Love the touches of red in the pictures, particularly the red door. Quite striking!

One of my fav's to make my house feel cozy is to light cinnamon scented candles. One of the nicest compliments I ever received was from my cousin who said that my house always smelled like Christmas to her.

That second picture reminds me of how much cozier my living room would be if someone hadn't painted over all the exposed beams. Now they're just white. So silly.
