There is a room in the house that when you move in is the dumping ground. The place for boxes that aren't essential, the spare stuff, and just general junk! The guest room.

There is no need to do anything with it - until you have your first guests. Well mine are on their way in T minus 7 days so it is time to work on pulling it together!

Here are some spaces that I am hoping to pull some inspiration from as I go!

This room is so cozy and warm.  Love the beams don't you?

This room is one I have featured before.  I love the orange drapes - and I am not an orange person!

Of course, this room is famous across blogland!  It is Layla's fantastic Guest Bedroom!

Love the cool blue tones here!  Hmm... making those drapes I found look a little more intriguing!

The drapes and artwork in this room are perfect! Love it!

Anyone else getting headboard ideas here?  Hmmm!

Loving the chandi here! That and the bed looks soooo comfy!

Telluride bedroom

Ahh - clean and white and so perfectly relaxing!

Guest Bedroom eclectic bedroom

I love this room - it is so calming!

Guest Bedroom traditional bedroom

Hmm ... more orange!  I think I must like it when it is bold and bright like this!

So what about you - have a favorite?  How do you have your guest room decorated?

Pretty inspiration! Love that all-white bedroom - so calming. Also that 2nd to last one...grey and white. Very serene. Thanks for sharing!

MMMMM.... bedroom yuminess! I think my own bedroom is the dumping grounds, which seriously needs to be dealt with. Love those traditional designs.

So glad I stumbled on your blog!

I'd be more than happy to be a guest in any of those rooms. While they are all gorgeous, I think comfort is essential for a guest room. We have two twin beds in our-not always what people are used to. To make them more comfortable I bought memory foam toppers and pillows, soft sheets and really cozy blankets. I actually slept there one night to be sure it met my high standards and I was really happy with how comfortable it was.

I'm sure your guests will be happy with what you provide. Have fun!
